Diet Culture Day: Scottsdale, in partnership with Jeremy Scott Fitness, is a first-of-its-kind full day wellness summit, open to all ages, backgrounds, bodies and journeys.

This full-day group experience will be transformative in helping you elevate your integrative health across nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and mindset, with a focus on helping you create a sustainable wellness plan that is realistic for your real life.

Transformative workshops from four expert practitioners will be paired with group yoga, myofascial release, real food, new local community and a 20-page workbook with a step-by-step protocol to create your best self.

You will leave informed, inspired and empowered.

Meet Your Facilitators

  • Jeremy Scott

    Author, Coach, Athlete & Trainer Jeremy Scott is one of the most in-demand fitness professionals in the world.

    With nearly 20 years in the industry, he has helped thousands globally transform not only their bodies but their lives. He has partnered with brands like Men’s Health, Reebok, Under Armour, and more, and his blog has been named top 20 health and fitness blogs in the world.

    Today, he runs Jeremy Scott Fitness in North Scottsdale, AZ as well as hosting the Jeremy Scott Fitness Podcast and Jeremy Scott Fitness app.

  • Ethan Schiff

    At age 26, Ethan was 312 lbs and had been dieting for a decade, eventually asking the life-changing question “what if diets don’t work?”

    This question led to a several year process of mindset shifts and unlearning misinformation, resulting in a 130 pound weight loss journey. But most importantly, to a unique approach towards health, centered around rethinking toxic diet culture and designing an empowered and personalized approach.

    Today, he runs Optimized Health, a virtual health coaching practice helping people around the country hit their health goals in a practical way. He hosts The True Health Podcast, is a public speaker and event organizer, and creator of Diet Culture Day.

  • Alyssa Spencer

    Alyssa has been instructing fitness classes for almost 40 years, and created the award winning method and barre studio Re-Barre.

    She has directed wellness programs for Lifestyle Fitness & Fitness Plus NYC and has served as wellness consultant for J&J, Bristol Myers -Squibb, AT&T, Merryl Lynch, Sanofi, Hilton and the City of Scottsdale.

    Certified in yoga, barre, Pilates & Pilates reformer, her classes are thoughtfully sequenced and safe for all ages and levels to enjoy.

    Her love of music & movement is evident in each class she creates, and she believes movement is medicine.

  • Dr. Bryan Geier

    Dr. Bryan Geier, aka Doctor Fascia, is a chiropractor that specializes in treating the complete person; physical, emotional, and spiritual.

    He has developed a reputation as one of the best at healing pain because integral to his success is an uncommon approach of using energy medicine to connect the physical symptoms to the suppressed emotions or mental struggles that lay deep in the subconscious and are manifested in the fascial tissue in the body.

    Dr Geier has over 10 years of experience and has treated conditions such as bulging discs, injuries from physical trauma, and frozen shoulders and some that have been ongoing for years.

    Whether it’s a professional athlete, celebrity, or your everyday pickle ball player, he has a willingness to see his patients thrive to the fullest extent.

    • 9:30-10:30: “Unlearning Diet Culture & Personalizing Your Health (Ethan)

    • 10:45 - 11:45: Yoga Flow (Alyssa)

    • 12 - 1: Lunch

    • 1 - 2:30: Workshop + Q&A (Jeremy)

    • 2:45 - 3:45: Myofascial Movement (Dr. Geier)

    • 4-4:30: “Creating Your Personal Health Plan” (Ethan)

    • 4:30 - 5: Closing + Group Share

  • General Public: $199 all-inclusive fee for the day

    JSF fitness members: $150

  • All dietary restrictions/needs will be accommodated. Closer to the event date, you will receive a short form to complete where you will place your food order for the day.

  • All movement activities are designed to be accessible to all levels, with modifications provided.

  • If you purchase a ticket for a DCD event, and can no longer attend, you can have your ticket refunded up to 30 days prior to the event. Please email us if you need to cancel/refund your ticket.

  • We’ve been asked if our events are designed for the Intuitive Eating or Health At Every Size movement. While we integrate concepts from this approach in our work, we don’t exclusively focus or use the language, concepts and messaging of these movements.

    Our entire focus is around everyone personalizing their own approach to food, movement and body based on their personal life needs, so with that in mind do not tie ourselves to any movement.
